In 1992, a spherical, pink, red-footed character with amazing lungs debuted with the first of Nintendo's Kirby series. His abilities were simple enough, walking, running, jumping, sucking up his enemies with a wheezing inhale, and working one's way through each level was relatively easy to manage no matter what a player's age or skill level happened to be. A simple, friendly character, it's of little surprise that, upon hearing of a dreaded virus and escaping into the real world, Kirby emerged shortly after the release of Kirby & the Amazing Mirror as a fourteen year old boy. Four years later, not much has changed.

Initially transitioning was something of a problem for the boy, who'd soon come to be called Jimmy by the elderly Granny Thalman, and for obvious reasons. A teenaged boy can't go floating and flying around, after all, nor can he simply swallow all the bad guys to do away with them. That problem was even more of a challenge for Jimmy because, a minor in this world upon his first introduction to the three-dimensional, he wasn't at first able to comprehend what was wrong with him or even if he might be crazy. Asking Granny was out and so he suffered in relative silence until discovering "Game Town" only some blocks away from the small apartment shared with his adopted grandmother. Here, among his own kind so to speak, he forged closer friendships with [info]balthiers, who initially brought him to the mayor himself and later became his roommate, and [info]peachj, who made it her mission to familiarize him with what would be his new home.

First, small speed bumps aside, Jimmy has come to accept the differences in this world and that he's stuck here, for now, and has even adjusted to the fact that he's not only not pink any more but also has real, functioning genitalia. Of the attitude that everything happens for a reason and his situation could be worst, Jimmy rolls with the punches and tends to look at each new day as a fresh challenge. As tiring as his optimism can be to others, Jimmy sees nothing wrong with his world-view and has yet to change his perception on things.

Now eighteen in the real world and having opted out of the conventional college route that some kids his age have taken, Jimmy has navigated his way into the thick of things, living in "Game Town" and even working throughout the week at a pastry shop.

Despite having been here and in the real world for so many years, some would still describe Jimmy as wet behind the ears -- green. He doesn't generally take himself too seriously and, usually all smiles, is of the opinion that there's some good deep down in just about everyone. He has a sour side to him, like everyone, but it often takes some prodding and digging to get to those deep-set frowns and sullen shakes of the head. Even when that off spot has been found, Jimmy doesn't usually stay angry for long.

Considered to be eighteen years old, his Granny wishes him 'Happy Birthday' in late December, since that's when she took him in.
Has a strong appreciation for A&W Root Beer and Cream Soda. He tends to buy the cans in bulk.
With dim notions of going to culinary school, maybe, in the future, he works at a local bakery in "Game Town," where he's pretty friendly about chatting people up.
Unable to sit still or focus for very long, Jimmy has a hard time watching movies that aren't full to the brim with action or comedic dialogue.
Is absolutely not gifted with the ability to sing, as he does so terribly and rarely ever hits a note on key. Unfortunately, he likes to do so a lot. Yes, that much.
Having never really had a gender before, he has fluid notions about sexuality and gender identity.
A preferred snack is usually a ripe tomato with seasoning salt, despite how others might cringe at this.
Enjoys late afternoon naps, though usually he forces himself to stay up during the day, afraid of missing anything. He's a deep sleeper when he does go though, probably because he's gaining back all that hyperactivity.
